The board that came out was still on the old red and black wiring colours, which dates it to before 2004, and had picked up breakers from three different makers over the years. The new unit went back in the same position. The label on the front is the six-monthly RCD test reminder, the bit people forget exists.

Fourteen ways, an RCBO on each one, surge protection on the end and a 100A main switch. When something trips, one circuit goes off instead of half the house, and you can see which one without a torch. The schedule is filled in by hand before we leave, because a board nobody can read is a board nobody can safely work on.
